The email template must include a survey link. To insert a survey link on a custom email template, using the mouse highlight the text/image to insert the link (for example, the Begin Survey text on the email template in Figure 6.14), then under the Insert menu, select Survey link, as illustrated in the following screenshot:

You can also personalize the email by inserting a survey variable that will be replaced by the actual value for each survey recipient when the email is sent. For example, highlight the First text using your mouse, then open the Personalize menu to insert the First Name variable to replace the text, as illustrated in the following screenshot:
